There's been a lot of buzz about "corporate responsibility" recently, and depending on your vantage point it is either a tribunal of angry tree huggers descending on your Board of Trustees, or it is a get-out-of-jail-free-card for corporate villains. I think the truth, as usual, is somewhere in between. In either case however, an honest exploration of this issue begins by asking an important question: is it possible for corporations to be both profitable and socially responsible?
