"America's Party" :60 Dial Test
Although they've been around for quite a few years, dial tests still represent a breakthrough in technology for measuring the impact of messaging. The power lies in their ability to reveal emotional responses on a moment-to-moment basis, with almost no contamination from volatile and often misleading focus group dynamics. When combined with the technique of creating animatics, messages can be refined and targeted long before a spot is produced. This takes the guess work of a given creative approach by quantifying the final result so that it reflects both clients intent and the customer's need before a frame of film is shot.
In the case of "America's Party" :60, it was dial tested after it had been produced, but it confirmed PMA's best suspicions by getting some of the highest scores we have ever seen. It is interesting to note that "America's Party" :60 scored almost as high as with Republicans as it did with Democrats.
